Aberlady Ladies Running
in the
New York Marathon
Four mums from Aberlady
(Leeanne Young, Marianne Cleary, Linda Sneddon and Ruth Chandler)
ran (and completed!) the New York Marathon on 2nd November. They
were running for a
charity called
'Get Kids Going'
that buys wheelchairs and sports equipment for disabled children
and young adults up to the age of 26. They aimed to raise at least
£6000 between them.
All four Aberlady Mums
running the New York Marathon successfully completed the course
and enjoyed the experience. They raised over £8000 for Get Kids Going which will help in their excellent
work with disabled children and young adults.
